Woman who stole £1.80 Costa latte can at Fishergate told to pay back cost

A woman who stole a Costa latte can has been ordered to pay back the £1.80 cost.

Zoe Smith, 24, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to stealing the Costa Latte can at a court hearing at Preston Magistrates Court on May 2. On April 30 this year, she stole the £1.80 can belonging to Costa Fishergate in Preston.

She was ordered to pay back the can cost of £1.80 to the coffee chain this month. She was also ordered to complete the following drug rehabilitation requirements by May 1, 2024 – to have treatment for drug dependency by or under the direction of the probation service at the probation service.

Rehabilitation activity requirement included complying with any instructions of the responsible officer to attend appointments with them or someone else nominated by them, or to participate in any activity as required by the responsible officer up to a maximum of 10 days.
