With the ongoing cost of living crisis, many pet owners are resorting to placing their furry companions in the RSPCA’s care, as they can sadly no longer afford to look after them.
Here are all the gorgeous furry friends currently being cared for at the RSPCA Preston branch that have not found their perfect family – could it be you?
Take a look at the latest adorable bunch including Spirit and Cleo.

1. Emma and Roger
Emma (tortie floof) and Roger may not be siblings but they are best of friends. They are described as a bonded pair who bring both entertainment and companionship to the home. Emma is the confident leader of the duo - she knows exactly what she wants and isn't shy about asking for it. Roger is her loyal companion, always ready to follow his "big sister's" lead. The pair are respectful of furniture, sleep soundly through the night, and simply enjoy being in the same room as their humans without demanding constant attention. Th paire need to be housed indoors to avoid contact with other cats, this means a spacious home on 2 levels with plenty of exploring opportunities. Photo: RSPCA Manchester

2. Cindy
Cindy is only one but had been left for five days without any pain relief with a severely broken leg which has sadly had to be amputated. Free of pain, her true personality has started to emerge as well as her passion in life which is a cosy lap to sit on. She has bags of personality and one of her favourite things to do is stand full stretched at her door and show us her belly whilst calling for company. She also likes to give nose bumps to her favourite people and likes a kiss back on the head in return, . Cindy needs an adult only home with no other animals. She might need a few adaptations to help her around the home such as a step or a ramp up to the sofa to reach her human's lap. Photo: RSPCA Manchester

3. Pablo
This stunning chap is two-year-old Pablo and he's looking for a home and family that fully appreciates what a handsome dude he is inside and out. He has the sleekest shiniest coat you could imagine. Heis a super friendly purr machine and a favourite among volunteers who make a beeline for time with him. He is supremely laid back unless food is on offer and then he can move at speed to hoover up whatever is on the menu. He would make a great first time family cat and can live with children of primary age and above. He is used to pottering outside, so will need a home where he can safely explore his new neighbourhood. Photo: RSPCA Manchester

4. Starr
Meet four-year-old Starr. She is described as a petite black-and-white beauty with a perfect heart-shaped nose and a tiny smudge under her chin. She’s a confident, affectionate girl who loves being the centre of attention. With a loud, happy purr and an endless desire for cuddles, she’ll happily curl up on your lap or sleep beside you. She can live with children of a secondary school age and deserves a loving home where she can continue to flourish. Photo: RSPCA Manchester
