Comedian Paddy McGuiness has created a pie for very special Chorley children - and here’s the taste test.
“It’s really nice with steak in the middle.” Paddy McGuiness has created his own pie for a very special Chorley reason - and here’s the taste test.
Comedy legend Paddy McGuinness has teamed up with Greenhalgh’s Craft Bakery to create a signature Steak and McGuinness Pie.

Money raised by his tasty treat will funds for Derian House Children’s Hospice in Chorley and Bolton Hospice.
But would Paddy’s pie get the thumbs up from Derian House? The hospice’s young people and staff took on the all-important taste test last week, with the verdict in: plenty of likeys!
Phoenix Nights and Take Me Out star Paddy, from Bolton, has put his name to the meaty creation as part of Greenhalgh’s 70th birthday celebrations in 2027, with the bakery hoping to raise an incredible £70,000 for both hospices.

The Steak and McGuinness Pie is now available in all Greenhalgh’s stores, sandwich vans and online, with all profits going to the charities.
Derian House youngsters thought Paddy’s pie was a winner. When asked the best thing about the pie, Liam, 24, said: “All of it!
And Evan, 19, said: “It’s really nice with steak in the middle.”
Staff were just as impressed, with one describing the pie as “divine” and another declaring, “That is so good!”
“I didn’t realise a pie could taste so good coming from Bolton, I thought it was only a Wigan thing,” said Arron Taylor, who works with the young people at Derian House.
Ellie Leavesley, Community Fundraiser at Derian House Children’s Hospice, said: “Paddy’s pie is a proper winner all round, and it’s great to see a Bolton favourite and a local business come together to help raise vital funds for our children, young people and families. We hope everyone enjoys the pie!
“Care is free to families at Derian House, but it will cost £6million to run the hospice this year. We couldn’t do what we do without our incredible supporters, like Paddy and Greenhalgh’s, who help to keep our doors open.”
Derian House Children’s Hospice, based in Chorley, Lancashire, supports more than 400 babies, children and young people, along with their families, from across the North West, helping them make the most of every moment.
