Four-year-old boy flown to hospital by air ambulance after falling from window in Preston

A four-year-old boy is in hospital after falling from a window in Preston on Thursday morning.

The incident happened on Skeffington Road at 11.20am and has been ruled an accident by police, who were called to the scene along with the North West Ambulance Service.

The boy was flown by air ambulance to the Manchester Children’s Hospital for treatment to a serious head injury.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: “We were called at around 11.20 this morning (July 14) to reports a four-year-old boy had fallen from a window at an address in Skeffington Road, Preston.

Emergency services attended and the child was taken to Manchester Children’s Hospital by air ambulance with a serious head injury.

“No arrests have been made and the incident is being treated as accidental.”
