Dates announced for Dave Day 3 - The Last Ride Home which will see 1000s of bikers ride through Lancashire
The last ever Dave Day ride in honour the iconic Dave Myers has been announced and this is when it will come to Lancashire.
Thousands of bikers are set to travel along the M6 in Lancashire again this summer, in honour of the late Hairy Biker Dave Myers.
TV chef Dave Myers, of course best known for his work with Si King as the Hairy Bikers, sadly passed away from cancer in 2024 aged 66.
That year, the inaugral Dave Day took place and saw 46,000 bikers ride from London to Dave’s hometown of Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria in the late star’s memory.
Returning again in 2025, over 82,000 bikers have took part across the two years and more than £261,000 has been raised for the charities NSPCC Childline and CancerCare North Lancashire and South Cumbria.
The date for the 2026 Dave Day has now been announced as Saturday, June 20 and it will be the last ever one.

Organisers say the aim is to make Dave Day 3 ‘The Last Ride Home’ the biggest event yet.
A fundraising goal of 150k has been set with that in mind and this year the funds raised will be split between Childline and causes in Barrow in Furness.
Dave Day 3 will kick off from Ace Café London at 7am and is expected to end at the Barrow-in-Furness Town Hall at around 3:30pm.
The bikers are due to arrive at the Moto Services in Lancaster - between junction 32 and 33 of the M6- at 1:45pm, departing again for Barrow at 2:15pm.
In a statement, Westmorland and Furness Council shared that they were “delighted” that Dave Day is returning to Barrow for 2026.
They also confirmed that they were able to commit £10,000 to help Barrow BID, this year’s event organisers for the arrival of the bike progression, with its arrangements.
A council spokesperson said: “The two Dave Days in 2024 and 2025 were amazing events, bringing the community together to remember and celebrate the life of Dave Myers, a true proud Barrovian.
“The council has provided considerable support to every Dave Day event and we will once again be providing significant funding and in-kind help for this year’s event.
“The council has always wanted to continue to harness the energy of Dave Day, to see it evolve and grow, and we look forward to welcoming people to enjoy another Dave Day in Barrow in June!”
