9 images that show extent of sinkhole that cordoned off Moor Lane in Preston

A road closure is currently in place on Moor Lane, from the junctions of Victoria Street to Appleby Street in the University of Lancashire area, in both directions, due to a sinkhole forming.

National Highways are concerned that the sinkhole may increase in size and pose a danger to road users and pedestrians and so for everyone's safety, police have shut the road.

A timescale for reopening it has not yet been given

Take a look at some images of the sinkhole.
