Lancashire Police issued an appeal in an effort to trace Sophie O'Dere, 16, from Morecambe.
They said Sophie was last seen in Hothersall Lane, near Longridge, at 3.55am on Friday.
However Lancashire Police reported: "Further to our earlier appeals, Sophie, 16, missing from the Longridge area, was found safe and well earlier today (Friday, August 28). Thanks to everyone who shared our appeals to find her."
