Lancashire's Booths supermarket launches its own IPA beer with Farmyard Brew Co -for this great cause
A new fundraising beer has been produced by Lancashire-based Booths supermarket and Farmyard Brew Co.
A Lancaster brewery has teamed up with Booths supermarket to create a beer with a difference.
When Farm Yard Brew Co heard about Booth’s fundraising 26-mile run from store to store in aid of Cure Leukaemia, they decided to get involved - in the way they knew best.
They said: “It’s a cause that’s close to home for too many of us. Since we can’t run for toffee we thought we could help by brewing up a beautiful beer exclusive to Booths stores where for every can made 50p will be donated to straight to the cause meaning we’re due to raise over £2,000.
“So if you don’t fancy getting your running shoes on but want to be a part of something special then pop down to your local store and pick up a few whilst you can - they’ll be showing up across stores in the coming weeks.
The beer is called Running In The Family, and is available for £3.75 per can.

Nigel Murray, CEO of Booths, said: ‘Cure Leukaemia is a cause very close to all of us at Booths, and we’re incredibly proud to have supported the charity over the past five years— funding a specialist blood cancer research nurse at Blackpool NHS Hospital and backing vital work that makes a real difference to patient’s lives.
“Our colleagues across the business have thrown themselves into fundraising in all sorts of ways, and this collaboration with Farmyard Brew Co. is another brilliant example of that collective effort. It’s a simple idea with real impact—every can sold will contribute 50p directly to find cures for blood cancer.
Nigel is taking on the London Marathon later this month to raise more funds for the charity. He said: “Taking on the London Marathon this year is a personal way for me to support the cause, and it’s fantastic to see initiatives like this bringing together our teams, our suppliers and our customers.
“It’s a great beer—and even better knowing it’s helping to fund life-saving research, and I shall certainly be enjoying one at the end.’”
