Fuel thief drove off

A MAN who drove off from a fuel station without paying was caught driving a car he had taken without consent - while unfit through drugs.

Matthew Wilson, 33, of Cunnery Meadow, Clayton-le-Woods, Chorley, admitted theft, cannabis possession, and motoring offences when he appeared before Preston Magistrates’ Court.

He was banned from driving for 12 months and must pay £15 compensation, a £60 surcharge and £85 costs.

PRESTON: A man refused to leave a train for 20 minutes, causing it to be obstructed, at Preston.

Thomas Edmondson, 23, of Halt Avenue, Billinge, admitted obstructing an engine and being drunk and disorderly on January 18.

Preston magistrates ordered him to pay a £200 fine, £20 surcharge, and £85 costs.

CHORLEY: A man has been given a 12-week sentence suspended for 12 months after admitting assaulting a woman.

Darren John Peach, 28, of Basil Street, Stockport, assaulted the woman in Chorley on July 12.

He was given a curfew and must pay £500 compensation, and £120 costs.

PRESTON: Christine Petho, 54, of Melrose Avenue, Fulwood, Preston, was discharged for 12 months after admitting using threatening behaviour and assaulting a PC.

Preston magistrates ordered her to pay a £15 surcharge.

PRESTON: A man has admitted receiving a stolen moped, riding it without insurance or a licence, and failing to stop for officers.

Issac Smith, 18, of Waldon Street, Callon, also admits possessing cannabis after the incident on December 8.

Preston magistrates ordered him to pay a £60 surcharge and £85 costs.

CHORLEY: A pensioner has been found guilty of using threatening or abusive words and behaviour after a trial in his absence at Preston Magistrates’ Court.

Brian Baker, 72, of Glover Road, Coppull, Chorley, was ordered to pay a £220 fine, £22 victim surcharge, £50 compensation and £620 prosecution costs.

PRESTON: Peter Sands, 45, of Princes Reach, Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston, admits assaulting a man.

He must pay a £315 fine, £50 compensation, £31 surcharge, £85 costs.

Scott James Gillard, 38, of Eaves Lane, Chorley, was jailed for five months after admitting stealing Regain hair products worth £211 from Boots.

Elaine Woods, 34, of Levensgarth Avenue, Fulwood, was discharged for 12 months after admitting being drunk and disorderly but must pay a £15 surcharge and £85 costs.

Lisa Eaves, 26, of Bardsea Place, Ingol, Preston, was given two months suspended for 12 months and must have drug treatment and pay an £80 surcharge after admitting three shop thefts.

Jade Rose, 30, of Lockside Road, Preston, was discharged for 12 months after admitting stealing £558.75 of goods belonging to ASDA but must pay a £15 surcharge and £85 costs.

Claire Neville, 43, of Dawson Walk, Preston, was discharged for 12 months after admitting stealing booze and must pay £101 compensation.

Lee Higham, 33, of Blackthorn Close, Lea, Preston, is banned from B and M Bargains for six months after admitting stealing £48 of goods on Christmas Eve and must pay a £60 surcharge and £85 costs.

Janet Alton, 49, of Marina Grove, Lostock Hall, is banned for 18 months after admitting drink driving and must pay a £110 fine, £20 surcharge, and £85 costs.

Jason Evans, 32, of Birkdale Drive, Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston, is banned for 17 months after admitting drink driving and having no insurance or licence, and must pay a £110 fine, £20 surcharge, and £50 costs.

Robert Mee, 43, of Halton Road, Lancaster, was discharged for three years after admitting stealing fuel and must pay a £15 surcharge and £85 costs.

Darren John Aldred, 19, of Herbert Street, Leyland, admits failing to give driver information and must pay a £240 fine, £24 surcharge and £85 costs.
