Hop on board - Summer Holiday is back
It’s 10 years since the show spent a four-month summer season at the Opera House, starring Darren Day, in the stage version of the 1963 film.
And next week, reality TV and stage star Ray Quinn steps into the famous shoes of Cliff Richard to play the lead role.

Summer Holiday tells the story of Don and his fellow London Transport mechanics as they journey in a red double-decker bus through Paris, the Alps, Italy and Greece.
This hit-filled musical features some of 60s’ biggest songs: In the Country, Summer Holiday, Travellin’ Light, Bachelor Boy, Move It, Living Doll, The Young Ones and On the Beach.
Ray, who was a regular in former Channel 4 soap Brookside, shot to fame as the runner-up in ITV1’s The X Factor in 2006 and has gone on to win ITV’s Dancing On Ice in 2009 - as well as the Champion Of Champions series in 2014.
