Former home of legendary Bamber Bridge Indian restaurant set to be sold at auction

The former home of one of Bamber Bridge’s best-known restaurants will go under the hammer later this month.

Unit 1 Club Street - formerly Naaz Indian Cuisine and then the Dilnaz restaurant - is part of the Auction Group’s online auction, taking place on January 21, with bids being taken between 9am and 3pm.

The vacant building, which is still kitted out with a kitchen and open-plan floor space, has been called an “excellent business opportunity” by the Auction Group. They say Club Street is a “charming location”, and that the “delightful property, with it’s commercial building potential, is a rare find”.

This property comes with a private car park, and the starting price is £175,000, with the winning bidder to pay an additional £5,000 in buyers premium.

Background

Naaz Indian Cuisine traded in Club Street for 25 years before shutting its doors in April 2017. The building then traded briefly as Spice Symphony, under new management, but was closes for much of the time. In September 2018, it was announced that original owner Dilshad Miah would reopen the eaterie as Dilnaz after carrying out a host of refurbishments.

It is believed that the business moved to Hough Street, Leyland, in around 2022 and is not affected by this sale.
