The incident involved an outbuilding off Runshaw Lane in the village.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service (LFRS) were told about the fire just after 9am and four engines from Bamber Bridge, Chorley and Leyland stations were sent to incident.
A spokesman for LFRS said: "The single storey building measured 10m x 10m and was well alight. Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and two hose reels."
It's not thought anyone was injured following the fire. LFRS was contact for further details.
