Here’s why fire engines were in Balderstone last night.
Fire crews descended on a commercial premises in the Ribble Valley last night (Wednesday, March 4).
Three fire engines from Preston and Blackburn fire stations arrived at the property Myerscough Smithy Road in Balderstone at 9.23pm.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said the fire involved a motor within the premises but was out on the arrival of crews.
Firefighters made the scene safe using one hose reel and two positive pressure ventilation fans. Fire crews left the premises approximately 50 minutes later.
