Fallen tree leaves over 700 Garstang homes without power

The power cut off from the Electricity North West customers at 7.30am and engineers quickly arriving at the scene to remove the tree and repair the lines.

An Electricity North West spokesman said: “Power was restored to the majority of customers at 12.20pm and engineers are working hard to get the remaining 18 customers back on as soon as possible today.

“We would like to apologise for any inconvenience and if customers would like any further information they can contact us 24/7 on 0800 195 4141 or follow @ElectricityNW.”

The company says the streets affected are Church Lane, Lancaster Road, Park Lane and Crimbles Lane but could not reveal the location of the damaged power lines.
