Electricity firm halts planned power outages until after water restrictions are lifted

TO help customers still affected by the boil water notice put in place by United Utilities, the region’s network power operator, Electricity North West, has rescheduled planned power outages.

The planned work, which allows engineers to carry out maintenance work on the network to reduce the risk of unexpected power cuts, will be rescheduled as soon as the water notice is lifted.

Stephanie Trubshaw of Electricity North West, said: “The welfare of our customers is our top priority and we understand the impact that the planned work could have caused on their daily lives.”
