Dragon's Den star shares love of Blackpool as she visits for Strictly Come Dancing
Sara Davies has shared her love for Blackpool as she visits for the Strictly Come Dancing weekend.
Dragon’s Den star Sara Davies has been in Blackpool over the weekend as BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing returned to the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom on Saturday evening (November 22).
The County Durham businesswoman previously competed in Strictly during the 19th series of the show, back in 2021.
The 41-year-old was paired with Aljaž Škorjanec before the pair were eliminated in Week 8 following a dance-off with Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin.
Sara shared some snaps of her weekend on Instagram where she met up with a number of famous faces from Strictly Come Dancing.
In a post, she said: “Blackpool… you were AMAZING! We’re on our way home after the most wonderful weekend, and it’s really not lost on me how lucky I am to still be part of the @bbcstrictly family.
“Having a front row seat in that iconic Tower Ballroom last night, watching those incredible dances, honestly felt beyond special. We both had the best time.
“I was with such a brilliant crew yesterday. I feel so lucky to have made lifelong friends through Strictly all those years ago - and so many of the backstage team still remembered me!
“I had the nicest hugs with them and it just felt like coming home.
“And can we PLEASE take a moment for those dances last night!? Every single one was spectacular. I absolutely adored @katyajones and @lewiscope’s Charleston - it was just off the charts.
“But for me, the moment of the night was @kazcarney and @gkx_carlos’s Paso. As soon as I heard they were doing a Paso I knew it would suit her… but wow.
“That one will go down in Strictly history.
“The energy in the ballroom was unreal - I was completely transfixed.”
Iconic 90s band Steps got the Strictly Come Dancing weekend underway in Blackpool as they sang live to provide the backtrack for Strictly’s professional dancers and their celebrity partners while they took to the dancefloor at the historic ballroom.
Strictly is back in Blackpool this evening (Sunday, November 23) for the Week 9 results show, which will also see Lewis Capaldi perform.
