Woman banned from parts of Preston city centre accused of breaching criminal behaviour order 16 times

Claire Neville was issued with a criminal behaviour order in 2020 following a conviction for harassment.
The 50-year-old appeared before Preston Magistrates’ Court in May where she was given bail conditions not to enter certain parts of the city centre.

Hide AdShe was prohibited from entering the boundary of the Adelphi roundabout, Friargate, The Holiday Inn, Fishergate and Preston railway station.
Claire was also told she must not ask people for money or goods, or approach any person for that purpose in any public place, or in any place which the public have access.
She was later arrested and charged after being accused of breaching these conditions 16 times.
Claire is due to appear at Preston Crown Court in July.
A criminal behaviour order (CBO) is an order aimed at preventing antisocial behaviour by a person who has been convicted of any other criminal offence.
