Two men arrested after gunshots fired at car in residential Preston street

Two men have been arrested by detectives investigating a firearms discharge in Preston.

Police were called to a report a vehicle had been damaged in Briery Close, Fulwood, at around 2.25pm on Sunday, April 4.

Upon further investigation, officers said they believe a "firearm was discharged at the vehicle". No injuries were reported.

Two men, aged 22 and 28, both from Preston, have now been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent.

They are currently in custody for questioning.

Investigations into the incident are continuing and anyone with information has been urged to contact the police.
