Suspected drugs gang member arrested in East Lancs police raids
A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drug dealing after police raided homes in East Lancashire yesterday (Monday, March 15).
The man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs at a house in Accrington and taken into custody.
Lancashire Police also executed at a warrant a home in Blackburn, but no arrests were made at the address.
The force said the two raids were part of a morning of enforcement against an alleged County Lines drugs gang operating in Derby and Lancashire.
Six men were also arrested at five different homes in Derbyshire where "substantial quantities" of heroin, cocaine, and cash were seized.
Detective Inspector Matt Croome, of Derbyshire Police, said: "Working with colleagues in Lancashire we have been able to coordinate a number of arrests linked to a group that is alleged to be having a significant impact on communities in Derby.
"These warrants have seen substantial quantities of drugs taken off the streets of our city as well as disrupting an alleged County Lines gang."
