A man from Ribbleton is still wanted by detectives investigating the rape of a woman in her 20s in Preston.

Michael Foster, 32, from Hodder Brook in Moor Nook, is wanted in connection with the attack which happened in the early hours of Saturday, July 11.

Lancashire Police said a woman has suffered a serious sexual assault and have identified Foster as a person of interest in their investigation.

But detectives have been unable to locate Foster as part of their enquiries and are seeking the public's help in finding him.

Det Con Sue Wilson, of Preston CID, said: "We are keen to speak to Michael Foster and would urge him to come forward as soon as possible.

"We want to speak to him in connection with a rape investigation in Preston.

"If you have seen him or know where he is, please come forward and contact us."
