Preston stabbing: woman bailed in murder probe

The 22-year-old woman, from Preston, was quizzed after a man was stabbed in the stomach in the early hours of Thursday morning – just after midnight.

Police and ambulance crews were called to a home on Geoffrey Street in Deepdale.

The 26-year-old man was taken to Royal Preston Hospital but was later pronounced dead.

Enquiries are on-going to establish how the man sustained his injuries.

The woman has been given bail until August 31.
