Preston murder trial adjourned until next week

The trial of a man charged with murdering father-of- two Steven May has been adjourned until Monday morning.

The jury in the case went out to consider their verdict on Wednesday afternoon, but the case has been adjourned due to the lack of a juror. The circumstances have not been explained.

Darren Taylor, of no fixed address, was arrested on Saturday, May 25, 2019 and charged with the murder of 50-year-old Steven May.

Mr May was found at a home in Raven Street, Deepdale on Monday, May 20. The court heard how Mr May had suffered 76 rib fractures in the last 12 weeks of his life.
