A mum in her 30s has been charged with shoplifting in Preston.

Police were called to the Morrisons Daily store in Harewood Road, Deepdale after £200 worth of stock was stolen on Sunday (April 6).

Officers arrested a 30-year-old woman at the scene. She was taken into custody and has been charged.

Kiera Brogden, 30, of no fixed address, was charged with two counts of theft from a shop and will appear before Preston Magistrates Court this morning (Tuesday, April 8).

Police statement

A police spokesperson said: “We have charged a woman following a theft from a shop in Preston.

“We were called to Morrisons on Harewood Road on Sunday, April 6 following reports around £200 worth of stock was stolen from the store.

“A 30-year-old woman was arrested at the scene.

“We can now tell you that Kiera Brogden, 30, of no fixed address has been charged with two counts of theft from a shop and will appear before Preston Magistrates Court this morning.”
