Good morning and welcome to the Lancashire Post's live court blog, bringing you the latest from the Magistrates' Court, Preston Crown Court and Sessions House.
There are around 16 criminal courtrooms across Preston, as well as civil court rooms, and cases from across Lancashire's cities and towns - and sometimes Cumbria and Greater Manchester - are heard in them.
Today's schedule includes one sentence, six trials, five appeals and 13 other types of hearings at the Crown Court, with a further 57 hearings before Preston Magistrates' Court.
