Police warn of farm burglary 'spike'
Police have urged residents to take precautions.
Lancashire Police have issued a warning to farmers as they recorded a ‘spike’ in rural burglaries.

They said they’d seen an increase in the number of thefts on both farmland and homes in rural areas, and have urged residents to take precautions to secure their properties.
They said residents should ensure all properties, garages, sheds, vehicles, and machinery are locked and secured.
They also said people who have been targeted by criminals can expect home visits from their local police to provide site assessments and advice.
Burglaries can be reported on the Lancashire Police website or via the 101 non-emergency number.
In an emergency, you should call 999.
