Perverted Preston priest Edmund Cotter will be sentenced for new allegations on Friday

A disgraced ex priest who previously served a jail term for indecently assaulting children is expected to be sentenced tomorrow for further offences relating to a girl in the 1970s.

Edmond Cotter, also known Father Edmund Cotter, now 73, indicated guilty pleas to three counts of indecent assault against the child, who cannot be named for legal reasons.

In 2007 Cotter, now of Castlegate, Penrith, Cumbria, was jailed for five years and two months for 13 counts of indecent assault on children aged between seven and 11 during his ministry at St Anthony’s Church in Cadley Causeway, Fulwood, Preston, in the 1970s and 1980s.
