Man sought after women reported being touched inappropriately

Police are trying to trace a man on a bike after two women claimed they were touched inappropriately in separate incidents in Preston.

Officers say the first incident happened between 7pm and 7.30pm on February 23 when a 24-year-old woman was walking along Lytham Road.

She was approached from behind by a man on a bike who grabbed her bottom and then cycled away.

A second woman, aged 43, also reported that she was approached from behind by a man on a bike as she walked along Garstang Road, near to the junction of Lytham Road at around 1.30pm on March 13.

The man is thought to have touched her bottom before riding off.

The man is described as around 25, medium build, clean shaven, with short dark hair.

DS Andy Dixon, of Preston CID said: “These were clearly upsetting incidents for the victims to have experienced and our investigation remains on-going.

“We are keen to speak to the man pictured in the CCTV image in connection with both incidents and if anyone recognises him or has any information about who he might be I would urge them to get in touch.”
