A man required surgery after he suffered a broken leg during an attack in Preston city centre.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was assaulted in Lancaster Road at around 1.30am on Monday, July 11.

He suffered a broken leg in the attack and was taken to hospital where he required surgery, police said.

On Monday (August 22), Lancashire Police released CCTV images of four people they wanted to speak to.

A spokesman for the force said: “Can you help us to identify any of the people in these images?

“We believe the man may be able to assist in our enquiries and we think the three women may have witnessed the assault and may be able to help.”

Following the appeal, only the pictured man and woman need to be identified now.
