Man charged with attempted murder after stabbing in Blackburn

Detectives have charged a man with attempted murder following a stabbing at home in Blackburn.

Lyndsey Thomas Harkin, 29, of Swift Close, Blackburn, has also been charged with robbery and is due to appear at Preston Magistrates' Court this morning (July 6).

Police were called at shortly after 7.50pm on July 1 to a report that a man had been stabbed at a home in Lower Hollin Bank Street.

The 35-year-old was found with stab wounds to his head, neck and arm and was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment.

A 25-year-old woman from Blackburn, who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and a 20-year-old woman from Blackburn, who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, have both since been released under investigation.
