Sean Worley, 28, from Lancaster, broke down in the dock at Preston Crown Court as jurors found him not guilty of three sexual offences against a woman in her 20s, who cannot be identified for legal reasons.
Mr Worley had maintained throughout the case that the activity between them had been consensual.
The incidents were alleged to have happened at a house in Lancaster on New Year’s Eve, 2018.
In his police interview he said she had “asked him” to get into bed with her, and that when he had asked her if she wanted sex she replied: “Yes.”
An examination was carried out and data had been recovered from their phones, including Facebook screenshots from Worley’s phone and a Whats App chat between the complainant and Worley.
