The prosecution say he had acted inappropriately towards her on two occasions the same night before she woke in a bed to find him raping her.

But in his police interview he said she had "asked him" to get into bed with her, and that when he had asked her if she wanted sex she replied: "Yes."

It is also claimed the defendant had sent a message to the woman's boyfriend about it.

He told officers she had sent him a message the next day asking him what he had told her partner.

When quizzed about the alleged incident he said his "recollection of the night was clear" and added: " I know for a fact I asked her if she wanted to have sex - she said yes."

Giving evidence, a police officer said an examination was carried out and data had been recovered from their phones, including Facebook screenshots from Worley's phone and a Whats App chat between the complainant and Worley.
