A driver was attacked by two men in an Audi who pulled up beside his car and tried to rob him at the weekend.
The victim said he was driving along Farington Road in Farington, close to the double roundabout at Croston Road, when he slowed down to allow a black Audi to overtake.
The driver stopped next to him and the Audi passenger got out of the vehicle and forced his way into the man’s car, punching him in the face.
The incident happened in broad daylight, at around 4pm on Saturday (August 8). The two men were said to be in their late teens.
The victim said: “I slowed down, they passed me and stopped by my side. The passenger then slammed his door open against my car and left a bend. He hit me twice on my face and took my glasses off.
“The driver then came to hit me and was asking me for money. I was very panicked and in total shock. It was the worst day of my life.”
