The funding comes from the Lancashire Police and Crime Commissioner and is money confiscated from criminals.

A spokesperson for the centre said: “A brand new youth space is coming to Bamber Bridge and we need your help to shape it!

“Last summer, young people from across Bamber Bridge told us loud and clear what they want: a space that's theirs. Now, work has started to transform an underused area of Bamber Bridge Leisure Centre into an exciting new youth hub for young people across Bamber Bridge and the wider area.

“But before it's built, we want your ideas! You told us you want a space that's safe, comfortable, modern, and different from school. This is your chance to help bring that vision to life.”

By taking part, you can help decide:

The look and feel of the space, colours, furniture and artwork.

The layout and facilities.

Activities and equipment.

And even the name of the new youth hub!

The spokesperson added: “Whether you'd love to see games consoles, pool tables, creative spaces, or something completely different, want to hear from you.

“There are no right or wrong answers. We just want your honest opinions.”
