Company lands national tea deal

Following a successful trial, specialist tea company Charbew will be the first independently-owned brand to launch a healthy ice tea range nationally across 150 WHSmith stores.

Charbrew will be launching its two ice tea blends Lemon Citrus and Orange Tropical with WHSmith Travel from Mid-April 2016.

The firm was founded by Poulton-born entrepeneur Adam Soliman.

The move makes the brand available in airports, railway stations, motorway service areas and hospitals across the UK.

This launch has come after the recent news in the 2016 Budget that the UK government will introduce a sugar tax by 2018.

Charbrew’s Ice Teas contain no refined sugar and both blends contain less than the proposed taxable threshold for sugary drinks.

Charbrew director Adam said: “Working with WH Smith PLC is a fantastic opportunity for my company.

Charbrew is a Manchester-based business, founded by tea hobbyist turned young entrepreneur, Adam Soliman. He launched Charbrew in 2009 with an ambitious aim to reinvigorate the UK tea market.
