Chorley firefighters tackle shed fire which spread flames to a home in Yarrow Road

The home in Yarrow Road caught fire after flames spread from a shed fire shortly after 9pm.

Four firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used two hose reels, two thermal imaging cameras and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire.

Crews also used a triple extension ladder and some small tools to make the scene safe.

One casualty was given a precautionary check from ambulance crews at the scene.

Crews were in attendance for around two and a half hours before the fire was brought under control.
