Scott Jonathan Haydon, 33, of Wheelton Lane, Farington, was fined £200 by Preston magistrates for driving without valid insurance. He also had to pay £85 court costs and £30 victim surcharge. His driving record was endorsed with six points.

The offence happened in Clayton Brook Road, Clayton Brook, on December 15.

David McConnell, 68, of Preston Road, Charnock Richard, was fined £40 by Preston magistrates for driving at a speed exceeding the legal 30mph. He also had to pay £30 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. His record was endorsed with three points.

The offence happened in Shepherds Way, Chorley, on November 1.

Claire Louise Winstanley, 31, of Kimberley Street, Coppull, was given a community order with an alcohol treatment requirement by Preston magistrates for assaulting a man. She was also given a restraining order and a curfew.

She also had to pay £100 compensation, £85 victim surcharge and £30 court costs. The offence happened on May 27.

Kawa Abdullah Tophiek, 28, of Chorley House, Hollinshead Street, Chorley, was given a community order with unpaid work by Preston magistrates for five counts of selling counterfeit cigarettes and three counts of supplying cigarettes without a health warning, as required under regulations.

He also had to pay £1,488 court costs and £85 victim surcharge. The offences occurred between May 3 and May 24 2017.
