Burnley drug dealer found hiding in loft jailed after police uncover crack cocaine and heroin
A drug dealer who was caught with crack cocaine and heroin in Burnley - and later found hiding in a loft by police - has been jailed.
David Green was first spotted by officers on December 8 last year driving a VW Caddy on Plumbe Street where he was believed to have been involved in a suspected drugs transaction.
When officers attempted to detain him after the van stopped nearby, Green broke free and fled the scene.

A search of the vehicle uncovered 12 knotted plastic packages of crack cocaine and four knotted plastic packages of heroin, along with two iPhones.
Police later examined one of the phones and found text messages indicative of drug supply.
Officers continued enquiries and on January 27 attended an address on Parklands View in Burnley in a bid to arrest Green.
Police forced entry to the property and found Green hiding in the loft, where he was arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply.
A search of the house uncovered 56.7g of heroin and 13g of crack cocaine, with an estimated value of £4,210.
Officers also seized £1,456 in cash and a set of weighing scales.
Green, 41, of Longton Road, Burnley, later pleaded guilty to possession of crack cocaine and heroin with intent to supply, and being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin.
Appearing at Burnley Crown Court on March 2, he was jailed for five years and seven months.
Det Con Tom Archer, of Lancashire Police’s East Proactive Targeting Team, said: “The supply and use of Class A controlled drugs brings criminality and misery to our communities.
“We take all reports of drug-dealing seriously and will investigate thoroughly so that offenders will face justice.
“David Green was twice found in possession of crack cocaine and heroin with the clear intent of supplying to others.”
