Budding star Ella-Grace lands dream role in soap

She is only been acting for nine months, but one Lancashire schoolgirl is set to take up a major role in the nation’s best loved soap opera.

Ella-Grace Gregoire, 13, is 
currently filming on the famous cobbles of 
Coronation Street before she makes her debut on screen next month.

Ella-Grace, who attends Carr Hill High School, in Kirkham, is set to play a troublesome teenager in the soap, and says she is enjoying being on set.

She said: “I couldn’t believe it when I got the part.

“Now I am mixing with all the other actors who I have been watching for years.

“It’s a bit mad when they just say ‘hi’ to me.

“They are so friendly and nothing like their screen characters.

“It’s an amazing place.”

Ella-Grace, who lives in Lytham, got the part after being talent spotted at the Scream Theatre School, based at Wareham Road, Blackpool, and is set to take her bow on September 13.

She will be introduced as a friend of Faye Windass.

Mum Elaine, 41, said: “It’s her favourite 
programme and my mum’s 
favourite programme too.

“The whole family’s been brought up on Coronation Street so it’s a dream come true for her.

“She was a bit starstruck when she was first on set, it’s amazing.”
