Graham, who also presents BBC North West Tonight, is about to set off on “Liver’s Lancashire Lie-in”. He’ll pull the bed all the way from Pudsey in West Yorkshire to Bare in Lancashire, dragging it over 100 miles along, meeting listeners and special guests along the way.

Tuesday will see Graham on the Chorley leg of the challenge.

On Wednesday, he will be on a route from Lytham to Blackpool, then he will tackle Blackpool to Preesall the following day.

Graham said: “In terms of training, I’ve been doing plenty of walking. For example, every morning I walk from the car park to the studio and then from my desk to the vending machine!

“The bed looks fantastic and on the run up to Liver’s Lancashire Lie in we’ve been helped out so much by local firms across the county.”
