Dramatic And Operatic Society’s annual pantomime this year will be a new version of the classic tale Treasure Island.

Come and watch as Jim Hawkins, together with his mother Henrietta and their friends, battle the pirates led by Long John Silver in the search for Captain Flint’s treasure.

This new version is packed with action, music, dance and of course comedy.

The pantomime will be performed on December 5, 6 and 7 2013 at Mawdesley Village Hall with a matinee show on Saturday, December 7. Tickets: £8 adults, £4 children

Auditions for upcoming Chorley Amateur Dramatic And Operatic Society plays take place on Sunday, December 1, with budding actors being given the opportunity to appear on the Chorley Little Theatre stage in two very different productions.

Breaking The Code is the true-life story of maths genius Alan Turing, and charts his life working for the Government during the Second World War while coming to terms with his own sexuality.

This powerful drama is directed by CADOS Artistic chairman Mark Jones, who is looking for actors for parts ranging from teenagers to middle-aged women.

Some parts are ideal for newcomers looking to get involved.

The comedy The 39 Steps, directed by Sean Duxbury, is loosely based on Alfred Hitchcock’s film and features a dashing hero pursued by crooks and villains across the country.
