Bollard claims another victim

Preston city centre's controversial traffic system has claimed another victim.

Police were called around 9.10am on Monday to reports that a silver Audi had collided with a bollard at the junction of Fishergate and Corporation Street.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing the car stuck on top of the dismantled structure.

The road was closed while Lancashire County Council highways teams removed the bollard - rolling it out of the main road.

The road re-opened around 10.15am. No injuries were reported.
