Body of man in his 30s discovered in 'wooded area' in Preston

Police and fire crews were reportedly spotted in Cottom Way this afternoon (Friday, February 19).

Emergency services cordoned off an area of grassland close to the junction with Tom Benson Way during the incident.

Officers have now confirmed a man, believed to be his 30s, was found "outdoors in a wooded area".

The circumstances surrounding the man's death are not thought to have been suspicious and a file will be passed to the coroner, police said.

His identity is currently unknown.
