What do the experts say?

In 2017, South Ribble was officially named as the best place to live in the country by Channel 4, based on an analysis of data including health, average house prices, job opportunities and road links. Researchers also took into account the the proportion of people aged 20- 29 in the area, income and house price to salary ratio.

Last year Great Eccleston was named as Lancashire’s Poshest Village by the Telegraph, the so-called 'posh appeal' determined by factors including high house prices, connectivity, the best lifestyle amenities, and chocolate-box appeal.
