The restaurant - which is opening slightly later than planned - has created more than 80 hospitality jobs and can cater for 160 guests.
It will continue the company’s commitment of bringing guests a true slice of “Southern-style” hospitality.
BBQ fans are well catered for with a range of smokehouse classics, including pulled pork, ribs and Texas style brisket, all smoked “low and slow”, for up to 16 hours.
On July 26 the smoker arrived, having been shipped from Alamo, Tennessee.
The team posted: "It's now sitting pride of place in our kitchen ready for our Pitmasters to start smoking the ribs, wings & brisket for you all!"
The venue will also feature a bar, a heated outdoor veranda for year-round dining, and a cinema for children to watch free-of-charge.
The team say they have taken on the site after eyeing up Preston as their next desired location for some time, following the sucess of their Southport branch.
