The new restaurant, named Ragú, will serve traditional Italian cuisine and comfort meals, with Luca and Vincenzo boasting 50 years of culinary experience between them.
Luca was born in Naples and grew up in a family environment where his grandmother cooked a dish from scratch every day. Sundays were dedicated to bringing the whole family together to share a meal, sparkling Luca’s love for cooking.
He now has more than 20 years of experience in Italian and Mediterranean cuisine and has worked in several countries across Europe, America and the United Kingdom.

Vincenzo was also born in Naples and grew up with a curiosity for cooking, flavours and innovation. Alongside the strong traditions of Italian cuisine, he has also travelled and worked across Europe and other parts of the world, with a career spanning more than 30 years.

The duo have known each other for many years and have joined forces to open a venue that is “traditional, representative and family-oriented, where people can feel a warm atmosphere and enjoy food made with love”.
The pair told the LEP: “Every detail, ingredient and flavour has been carefully chosen to create a unique experience. We are very grateful for the warm welcome we have been receiving at Preston and we look forward to sharing our passion for gastronomy with everyone.”

Ragú will officially open at 12.00pm on Sunday (March 15), coinciding with Mother’s Day. The team said: “In Italy, mums are everything. Their love is the heart of every table.
“That’s why at Ragú Italian Bistro we’re opening our doors on Mother’s Day, the perfect moment to celebrate the women who fill our lives with love.”
