Preston’s high street is set to welcome a major brand next week.

It emerged last November that shoe retailer DEICHMANN was planning to bring a new branch to Fishergate, which will fill two empty units, after a planning application was submitted to Preston City Council to combine what was the Emmaus charity store and the former Mountain Warehouse next door.

Now, following a £630,000 investment, the store at 25-27 Fishergate is preparing to open with nine new jobs created.

The new site will stock a full range of footwear for men, women and children including exclusive lines from brands such as adidas, Nike, Skechers and Fila.

Marko Josifoski, CEO at DEICHMANN UK said: “We’re really pleased to be opening this new store and bringing our great value offering to Preston. We have an extensive range of brands and footwear for the whole family available and we’re looking forward to customers discovering all that the new store has to offer.”
