Lé Rôti welcomes former British Lightweight Champion Scotty for guest sandwich collaboration

Lancashire’s award-winning sandwich shop, Lé Rôti - a family run rotisserie business has partnered with former British Lightweight Champion Scotty Cardle for its latest Rôti Royale creation - a Scottish–French fusion baguette.

Le Roti a Lancashire award-winning artisan rotisserie has added another milestone to its growing reputation with a visit from former British Lightweight Boxing Champion Scotty Cardle, who stepped behind the counter to design the newest entry in the shop’s Rôti Royale series.

It’s a charming French-inspired rotisserie spot serving fresh baguettes, wraps and roast dinner boxes made with their signature roast chicken. They also offer sausage rolls, soups, salads and brownies to take away.

The Rôti Royale invites notable local figures to craft their own signature sandwich, and Cardle delivered something fresh with a playful Scottish - French twist: “The Oui Man.”

Built on Rôti’s signature freshly baked baguette, The Oui Man features smashed sausage meat taken from Rôti’s popular sausage roll mix, a fried egg, rich brown sauce and the shop’s cult-favourite roast potato tots - deep-fried roast potatoes that crisp up to perfection.

Owner, Oscar Rowley, said: “Scotty wanted something that reflected his Scottish background, and the combination came together really well.

“Even though we only posted it last night, people have already started coming in this morning asking for it.”

The collaboration grew naturally from Rôti’s prep-meal partnership with a local gym, where Cardle first connected with the team. His interest in the Rôti Royale concept made him an obvious choice for a guest feature.

Max from Blackpool SEAT was welcomed as well as Dr. Golda, who created the first-ever box in the series - packed with health benefits and designed to empower: Introducing The Mighty Menopause Box. All profits from this special box were donated to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

Councillor Anne Aitken contributed “The Freaky Falafel Family Feast”, a vegetarian delight, while Rob Ward from YourGym also added his own creation to the growing lineup.

A GB Paralympian is set to join the lineup in the coming weeks.

Oscar said: “People are starting to ask if they can do one now. It’s great to see how it’s helping the brand grow.”

With its expanding roster of collaborators, rising profile and fresh award win, Rôti continues to cement itself as one of Lancashire’s most exciting independent food spots and The Oui Man looks set to become its newest must-try special.

Le Roti is located at 12A Park Street, Lytham St Annes.
