The public attended in good numbers with many children wanting to sit in cars and have their photos taken and ride on the vintage round about and have a go on the test your strength machine. The winners of the Astley Cup which was voted for by the vehicle owners themselves, were Margaret and Ralph Jagger who own a very popular yellow Bedford Midi Bus, a big hit with children as the loved to go inside an get old style bus tickets and sweets.”
