More effort should be made to involve pupils in the running of their school and the law should be changed to allow them to serve on governing bodies, according to a report from the National Consumer Council. At Fulwood High School youngsters have their own school council. Comprising 14 representatives of year 10, the council was set up following a request from pupils for more active involvement in day-to-day events.
