Hussain Master, who is based out of Preston station, is volunteering with local charities that each help different groups, including The Light Foundation, a charity that brings people of all faiths and non, together, which he has supported for over seven years, to help with their response to the coronavirus crisis.
When he’s not helping to keep vital services on Avanti’s west coast route running for key workers and those making essential journeys, Hussain is delivering food and essential items to vulnerable people and NHS workers.

“Volunteering has given me a great opportunity to help others in a variety of ways when they need it most.
“I feel blessed to be able to play a part in making a difference and it is so worthwhile – especially when you see the expressions on people’s faces.”
